How to Make a DIY Glitter Table

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to prep, paint, and glitter a table:

**Materials:**

* Table to be painted
* Sandpaper
* Paint primer
* Paint (your choice of color)
* Glitter (your choice of color)
* Mod Podge (or other decoupage medium)
* Paintbrushes
* Drop cloth
* Safety glasses
* Gloves

**Instructions:**

1. **Protect your work surface.** Lay a drop cloth over the table and any surrounding furniture.
2. **Sand the table.** Use sandpaper to roughen up the surface of the table. This will help the paint to adhere better.
3. **Clean the table.** Wipe down the table with a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris.
4. **Apply a primer.** Apply a coat of primer to the table. This will help the paint to adhere better and will also help to prevent the wood from bleeding through the paint.
5. **Paint the table.** Apply a coat of paint to the table. Use a brush to apply the paint in even strokes. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
6. **Apply glitter.** Sprinkle glitter over the wet paint. Use your fingers to press the glitter into the paint. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
7. **Seal the glitter.** Apply a coat of Mod Podge or other decoupage medium over the glitter. This will help to protect the glitter and prevent it from falling off. Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely before using the table.

**Tips:**

* If you are using a dark color of paint, you may need to apply two coats of primer.
* If you are using a light color of paint, you may only need to apply one coat of primer.
* If you are using a glitter that is not very sticky, you may need to use a glue or Mod Podge to help it adhere to the paint.
* Be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves when sanding, painting, and applying glitter.
* If you make a mistake, you can always sand off the paint and start over.

**Troubleshooting:**

* If the paint is not adhering to the table, you may need to sand the table again or apply a second coat of primer.
* If the glitter is not sticking to the paint, you may need to use a glue or Mod Podge to help it adhere.
* If the glitter is falling off, you may need to apply another coat of Mod Podge or decoupage medium.

**Enjoy your new glittery table!**
